Ok, notre bon ami Mo-Fo m’a fait découvrir le nouveau groupe de l’heure…Die Antwoord…. et c’est fou!

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas Die Antwood, c’est un groupe qui vient de l’Afrique du sud: 3 personnes… un maigre, tatoué de phrases absurdes et qui se prend pour un ninja. On a aussi la fille futuriste qui arbore une coupe qui tue… la mulet. Pour finir le Dj (petit gros en passant) qui fabrique des beat assez fou.
Tout cela donne un rap de style Électro Nintendo. Vous devez absolument allez voir sur le site (qui offre le cd gratuitement en passant) et surtout the secret chamber.

Ça faisait longtemps qu’on attendait de voir Fukk offf à Montréal, ça faisait aussi un bout de temps que l’on avait pas eu notre fix, notre dose de trash/glam électro.

Enfin, la nouvelle soirée de Mary Hell en association avec High Food et Néon est arrivée.

Bon on aurait pu vous (re)présenter Fukkk Offf, vous rebloguer toute sa discographie (que vous avez déjà, de toutes façons, téléchargée sur MWTB.ca), mais bon! On a décidé que ça serait sûrement plus opportun de vous parler de Miss Hell et sa toute nouvelle soirée.

Ainsi, pour savoir à quoi s’attendre, pour avoir un aperçu de ce qui s’en vient l’équipe de MWTB.ca est allé rencontré pour vous La Diva de l’électro à Montréal.

MWTB.ca : Ta nouvelle soirée vs les beat me ups, appart le changement d’endroit, de salle, en quoi elles se différencient, à quoi est-ce que l’on peut s’attendre ?

Mary Hell : On peut s’attendre à des bookings plus gros qu’on aurait pas eu l’ocasion de voir au Saphir compte tenu des limites physiques de l’espace. Je veux aussi exploiter le fait que je dispose d’un stage pour amener des performances musicales live et des performeurs de toute sorte aussi qui donneront plus de saveurs a la soirée.

MWTB.ca : Est-ce une association entre toi et neon ou bien tu host les soirée?

La soirée est présentée par Moi, Neon et High Food à part égale.

MWTB.ca : Tu as été impliqué de façon importante dans la scène underground montréalaise ; tu aidé beaucoup de personnes à se faire un nom. Sans dire qu’il y a un penchant mainstream, est-ce que ta nouvelle soirée aura plutôt un coté glam ou plus international ou comptes-tu rester fidèle à tes racines ?

Je pense que cette nouvelle soirée est une occasion “d’upgrader” avec un son plus mature et accessible, une image Glam toujours, des guests parfois très connu parfois plus underground tout en gardant mon côté Bad Ass qui plait ou deplait…

MWTB.ca : Ok on veut une exclusivité, un hint, un tip secret sur ce qui s’en vient !

It’s been a long time since I thought of posting about the Solid Steels.

For those of you that don’t know this marvelous UK podcast, the Solid-Steel are a show where the host invite a different DJ every now and then to share us with some of their latest mix.

In a way, it makes me think of “PLAISIR SYNTHÉTIQUE”, a really good radio show that we have here @ CISM – la marge.

Donc voilà! Pourquoi ne pas commencer en vous présentant le dernier vidéoclip de Michel Gondry

Michel Gondry est un des plus grand réalisateur de vidéoclip. Si vous ne le connaissez pas, vous devez regarder ce qu’il a réalisé, c’est simplement.. wow! Il touche un peu a tout, mais personnellement, j’adore beaucoup ses projet en stop motion comme celui ci qui a réalisé pour The white stripes.

Voici un autre vidéoclip coup de coeur. Regardez bien, car chaque éléments de l’image va avec les différents son de la musique.

Je ne sais pas quoi rajouter à tout cela, mais pour moi, les images disent tout. Je vais vous revenir de temps en temps avec de nouveaux vidéos de réalisateur fuck up!

If you bought the Bloody Beetroots album, then you probably saw the name Beta Bow. They’re a group from Austria and the singer (Guenther Bernhart) is featured on the track Second Streets Have No Name. Well, Guenther also has a side project called Allen Alexis, which is more club oriented. It’s a mix of pop and electro music. They have an album coming out this year. Bottom line, it’s really great.
