If you bought the Bloody Beetroots album, then you probably saw the name Beta Bow. They’re a group from Austria and the singer (Guenther Bernhart) is featured on the track Second Streets Have No Name. Well, Guenther also has a side project called Allen Alexis, which is more club oriented. It’s a mix of pop and electro music. They have an album coming out this year. Bottom line, it’s really great. How’s that for a deceptive post title?

Last night I attended my first MWTB party and today I am making my first post on the website. MOFO was dropping sick dubstep tracks all night at Qlimax and the party was raging… I thought the kids in there were going to trash the place. It was so much fun! I took full advantage of the $1 beers and got wasted with some friends. Post a comment if you attended and let us know how you enjoyed it. Now check out this video from the event.

La première fois que j’ai rencontré les instigateurs de ce site, c’était à Toulouse, lors d’une chaude soirée d’été, à l’occasion d’une teuf que j’avais organisé. Une de celles dont on se souviennent très peu à cause de toutes les drogues et de l’alcool ingérés.

Quelle surprise donc quand ils m’ont demandé de nourrir d’articles artistiques leur nouveau-né, baptisé à la vodka, MessWithTheBest :  ils se souvenaient donc de ce que j’faisais !

Nous y voilà donc, et ma tâche consistera à vous faire découvrir, ou redécouvrir, des artistes qui me sont chers, ne vous en déplaise ou pas : révolutionnaires, marginaux, génies et allumés pour la plus grande majorité, voilà mes pères. L’Art est là (selon votre serviteur), il se doit de dénoncer, d’être subversif, par sa beauté, son originalité et son message, afin de vous éblouir, de vous faire dresser les poils de cul jusqu’à ce qu’une larme jaillisse de votre œil émerveillé.

Il ne sera pas cas ici de « l’homme qui a vu l’homme qui a vu l’ours ». J’essaierais, dans les limites de ma connaissance,  de vous  montrer l’ours, où et comment il crèche, son régime alimentaire et ses préférences sexuelles: du dessin académique à l’art vidéo, en passant par le street art, le tatouage, les bandes dessinées, le cinéma, la photographie et bien sûr la musique…

Ces quelques lignes me semblaient nécessaires à vous expliquer ma modeste démarche, à bientôt chers internautes.
