Ok, notre bon ami Mo-Fo m’a fait découvrir le nouveau groupe de l’heure…Die Antwoord…. et c’est fou!

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas Die Antwoord, c’est un groupe qui vient de l’Afrique du sud: 3 personnes… un maigre, tatoué de phrases absurdes et qui se prend pour un ninja. On a aussi la fille futuriste qui arbore une coupe qui tue… la mulet. Pour finir le Dj (petit gros en passant) qui fabrique des beat assez fou.
Tout cela donne un rap de style Électro Nintendo. Vous devez absolument allez voir sur le site (qui offre le cd gratuitement en passant) et surtout the secret chamber.

If you bought the Bloody Beetroots album, then you probably saw the name Beta Bow. They’re a group from Austria and the singer (Guenther Bernhart) is featured on the track Second Streets Have No Name. Well, Guenther also has a side project called Allen Alexis, which is more club oriented. It’s a mix of pop and electro music. They have an album coming out this year. Bottom line, it’s really great. After years of smashing the blog scene with original hits like “Freak Night” and “Played Out” and killer remixes of Britney Spears, Katy Perry, MIA, Q-Tip, Hollywood Holt, Mephisto Odyssey & Hieroglyphics, the Qemists & Mike Patton, Cassette Jam, Atlantic Connection and more, Hot Pink Delorean stormed on the scene in December of 2008 with the first installment of their debut LP, I AM WHAT PORNO SHOULD BE.

The first EP off of the album contained the hits “Party Favour”(My personal favourite), “Field Agent”, Lets Get Free” & “Legends”. It received massive praise and radio play from Kissy Sell Out (BBC Radio 1), Andy George (BBC Radio 1), Loose Cannons (KISS FM), & Andy Mac (CREAM Radio) among others around the world. DJ support on the EP came from heavy hitters Benny Benassi, Kissy Sell Out, Richard Vision, Donald Glaude, MYLO, Digitalism, Dave Spoon, Adam Freeland, the Rogue Element, Lee Mortimer, DJ Craze, Klever & many more.

Currently, Hot Pink Delorean’s remix of Just Jack’s “Doctor Doctor” on Mercury is making the rounds on European radio and debuted at #2 on the UK club charts.

The group has toured heavily in the USA from the later half of 2008 to present and in England, Scotland, France, Germany & Sweden.

Hot Pink Delorean’s debut LP will be released worldwide in a series of 4 EPs (digitally) before being released worldwide in winter of 2010 as a full length LP in physical media formats. The group is planning collaborations with Just Jack, Far East Movement and more for the release.

Next up for release from HPD is their remix of Pixie Lott “Boys & Girls” on Mercury, their remixes of Basshunter and September for Ministry of Sound and their remix of Donald Glaude.

So Boppers…. after Hot Pink Delorean destroy Europe and the UK this fall they’ll be tearing the roof off Karma here in Montreal. Droppin beats that’ll make jumping, sweating and gyration obligatory. This is gonna be wet ‘n’ wild!!!
